Economic operation of the silk industry in the first half of 2022

1. Output of main products

According to statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to June 2022, the silk production of silk enterprises above designated size was 22,769 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.12%; among them, the silk silk production was 1,729 tons, a year-on-year increase of 11.68%. The output of silk and satin was 170.6 million meters, a year-on-year decrease of 3.52%. The output of silk quilt was 8.35 million pieces, a year-on-year decrease of 38.95%.

2. Quality and efficiency of industry operation

According to the statistics of the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to June 2022, there will be 566 silk enterprises above designated size in the country, with an operating income of 32.652 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.42%. Among them, the operating income of silk reeling was 12.25 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1.77%; the operating income of silk weaving processing was 16.335 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.13%; the silk printing and dyeing operating income was 4.067 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.53%. The whole industry realized a profit of 1.041 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 20.64%. Among them, the profit of silk reeling processing was 337 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 39.07%; the profit of silk weaving processing was 519 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3.25%; the profit of silk printing and dyeing processing was 185 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 16.64%.

From January to June 2022, there were 190 loss-making enterprises in the industry, with a total loss of 306 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 29.21%; the loss surface was 33.57%, a year-on-year increase of 5.52 percentage points. Industry liabilities totaled 37.06 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.44%. Enterprise inventory was 13.372 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.7%. The expenditure on three expenses was 1.907 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 0.73%. Among them, sales expenses were 454 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 4.7%; administrative expenses were 1.056 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 0.9%; financial expenses were 398 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.45%.

3. Export of real silk products

According to the statistics of China Customs, from January to June 2022, the national export value of real silk goods was 839 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 42.92%. Among them, silk exports were 244 million US dollars, an increase of 89.2% year-on-year, accounting for 29.07%, the export volume was 4,508.85 tons, a year-on-year increase of 53.6%, and the export unit price was 54.1 US dollars/kg, a year-on-year increase of 23.18%; the real silk and satin exports were 243 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase. 58.54%, accounting for 28.96%, the export unit price was 5.85 US dollars / meter, a year-on-year increase of 7.93%; the export of silk finished products was 352 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 15.5%, accounting for 41.97%.
