Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the opening ceremony of the BRICS Business Forum and delivered a keynote speech. Xi Jinping said that in the past 10 years, the BRIC countries work together to grow into a new bright spot in the world economy.

Xi Jinping pointed out that 10 years, the BRIC countries to explore and seek common development. Facing the sudden changes in the external environment, the BRIC countries based on domestic, focus on economic development, improve people's livelihood. During the past 10 years, the total economic volume of the five countries has increased by 179 percent, the total trade volume has increased by 94 percent, the urbanized population has grown by 28 percent, and has made outstanding contributions to the world economy to stabilize its recovery, and has made more than three billion people a real sense of gain.

Xi Jinping said that 10 years, the BRIC countries pragmatic first, to promote mutually beneficial cooperation. We have played a complementary advantage in the five countries, we have tightened the ties of interest and established a comprehensive and multi-level cooperation framework led by leaders, and emerged a number of cooperation projects which are in line with the development strategy of the five countries and meet the interests of the five peoples. In particular, the establishment of new development banks and emergency reserve arrangements has provided financial support for BRIC infrastructure construction and sustainable development. It has made useful exploration for improving the global economic governance and constructing the international financial safety net.

Xi Jinping said that 10 years, the BRIC countries dare to play, and strive to make a difference in the international arena. Our five countries uphold multilateralism, advocate fairness and justice, and make voices and make proposals on major international and regional issues. Our five countries are actively promoting global economic governance reform and enhancing the representation and voice of emerging market countries and developing countries. The BRICs hold high the banner of development and take the lead in implementing the Millennium Development Goals and sustainable development goals, strengthen dialogue and cooperation with developing countries, and seek joint self-improvement.
